Stop The Back Pain During Pregnancy - My Story

With my first pregnancy I had to stay in bed for a long time, two weeks to be more exact. I was in my 9th month, and it was the month of June and very  HOT... and all I could do was watch TV because nothing I could do at that time would stop the back pain during pregnancy.

The lower back pain was terrible.  I literally could not move.  And if I just new about all the little things I could have done, I would have never had to stay laying down for so long. So here is my story...

I am one of those mom's who thinks she can do it all.  The full time job (60 hour weeks), house, husband, pets and now kids.  This was that mistake!

I was on my feet a long time during the 9 month period. I thought, uh if I just work much as possible  now, I could stay with my baby longer. I also would sit for longer periods of time as well, as I traveled around a lot.  The problem really was that I did not take care of my body.  Yes I went for walks, but that was not enough.

If I just knew that little things such as taking more breaks, pregnancy safe stretching  and resting my feet, would made the difference, but at the time I did not..

Due to my I CAN DO IT ALL, I started to have bad cramps in my legs? Do you experience the cramps in your legs? These cramps in my legs started in my 7th month of pregnancy. You would think that I would have stopped, and rested...After all my body was telling me...STOP! Even my Dr. was telling me to take it easy, but Nope, I would not do it!

I thought if I just work a little longer now, I can have the more off time later on. I am telling you this because the biggest issue is that my plan did not work. First in my early 9th month of pregnancy I got this very sharp pain in my lower back. At first I ignored it. I was in the process to finish 6 projects in that month and they had to be done before I had my baby. So the ignore it part was a terrible mistake.

Don't let it get to that point! If I just used the pregnancy support belt and the maternity pillow, I would have reduces the problem and probably prevented it as well.  It is so true that the little things help. Of course, after I hurt my back to the point that I could not walk, I learned about all the little things I could have done to prevent it. That is exactly what is written in the Free Ultimate Guide to Stop and Prevent the Back Pain During Pregnancy.

Also, during my first pregnancy I did not go to see a chiropractor as I was advised against it by my DR.  However, he said it would have been o.k. if I did not hurt it that bad.  So with my second pregnancy I went.

Please learn from my story.  Don't let it go that far!!  I hurt it so bad that pain stayed with me after pregnancy.  The pain constantly kept on coming back.  As I lost the weight from my pregnancy the pain lowered as well, but it was constantly there.  The small wrong movement would bring the pain back.

The reason I say, learn from my story.  In my second pregnancy, due to the already weak muscles and the consistent lower back pain, I had the same issue happen again.  This time it lasted 3 days.  This is with me wearing the support belt and sleeping with maternity pillows, and doing the exercises. BUT I already hurt it so there was no coming back.

But the reason the pain happen was because of the problem I created the first time around.  In addition, this time around I had massage constantly and visited chiropractor as well. This all helped to reduce the back pain during my second pregnancy.
